Job summary

SoFi, a leading digital financial services company, seeks a Principal Advisor to lead its Global Sanctions Compliance function. You will oversee strategy and ongoing direction of the Enterprise Sanctions Program, partnering with Compliance, product, and engineering to manage sanctions risks across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a senior policy, enforcement, licensing, or compliance role directly within OFAC.
• 10-15+ years of sanctions experience, including crypto and global sanctions compliance.
• Deep understanding of international sanctions regimes and banking services.
• Ability to lead development of sanctions policies, risk appetites, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Sanctions Compliance function across lines of business and jurisdictions.
• Advise Compliance, product managers, engineers, and business units on sanctions issues.
• Support annual sanctions risk assessments and implement effective controls.
• Develop and review sanctions policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with AML governance and regulatory exams.
