Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Sample Control Technician I to log and track receipt and shipment of samples, prepare bottle kits for clients, and ensure accurate documentation of sample log-in, labeling, and routing. The role includes handling courier duties, waste disposal, and maintaining compliant storage conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license, with potential additional licenses.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to pass motor vehicle background check for driver certification.
• TWIC card and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of hire.
• May drive long periods up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming samples per DOT; verify against COC and note discrepancies.
• Logs samples into Lab Management System to assign lot numbers.
• Labels samples and forwards to appropriate labs for analysis.
• Prepares bottle kits for shipping to clients and returns for analysis.
• Disposes of spent samples and hazardous materials per procedures.
• Monitors temperatures in freezers/coolers and maintains clean work area.
