Job summary

Macy's, Inc. is seeking a Vendor Sample Professional in New York to receive, process, and move merchandise samples and mailroom materials in support of buying teams.

You will manage inbound/outbound samples, packages, and correspondence to ensure timely delivery and accurate processing. You will ship using multiple systems, track packages, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while collaborating with vendors, messengers, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Basic organization and time-management skills are required.
• Proficiency with shipping, tracking, and inventory systems.
• Effective communication with vendors, merchants, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare inbound and outbound vendor samples accurately and efficiently.
• Work independently with minimal supervision when needed.
• Adhere to established best practices and SLAs.
• Sort and deliver samples to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Ship packages using DHL, USPS, UPS WorldShip, and CampusShip systems.
• Sort, scan, and track all incoming packages using the UPS tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with messengers, vendors, colleagues, and merchant leadership at all levels.
• Support meeting room setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, mannequins, rolling racks, rods, and merchandise samples.
• Prepare and ship donated samples to designated charitable organizations or locations.
• Lift, move, and transport merchandise samples, packages, and equipment as required.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
