Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. is seeking a Tax Manager, State and Local Tax to advise clients on SALT implications, develop strategies, and support engagements. The role involves marketing, networking and collaborating with partners to deliver multi-state tax services.

Responsibilities include research, tax compliance, consulting, controversy and supervising SALT staff, with emphasis on delivering accurate tax solutions and client service across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in business preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation or J.D. preferred.
• CPA certification or other relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on SALT implications and optimization strategies.
• Covers tax compliance reviews and responses to state tax authorities.
• Develops tax consulting memos and participates in engagements.
• Leads and mentors SALT staff and reviews work products.
