Job summary

PetSmart Store Support Group, Inc. is seeking a Pet Groomer and Salon Trainer to provide exceptional grooming services and to develop a high-performing salon team.

The role focuses on delivering quality care to pets while training bathers and stylists through the company’s development program. The position requires grooming expertise, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to PetSmart’s standards of service, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full-time availability; flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products for safe, high-quality service.
• Proficiency in computer applications; comfortable with booking systems and store software.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop salon associates through training, onboarding, mentoring and coaching.
• Support development of bathers and stylists through the grooming program.
• Perform full menu of grooming services and related salon procedures.
• Promote salon services and merchandise to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and humane conditions in grooming area.
