PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) plays a key role in delivering quality grooming services and developing bathers and stylists. This role supports a high-performing team while aligning with PetSmart’s vision and care standards for pets.

The position emphasizes professional grooming, customer engagement, and coaching to grow salon sales and service quality in a store environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment and products to perform technical grooming work safely.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development, including training and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification.
• Identifies candidates for academy training to become stylists.
• Delegate and validate completion of daily salon tasks; address complaints.
• Promotes and reports on salon performance and engagement.
