Job summary

PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) leads a high-performing grooming team, mentors stylists, and develops associates through the grooming program. This role delivers professional grooming services with exceptional care for pets, while upholding PetSmart’s vision and standards.

The position supports growth of bathers and stylists, ensuring excellent pet parent experiences and driving salon performance within the store environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment and products to perform grooming work safely.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development, including training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification and academy training.
• Address and administer associate concerns and grievances; drive engagement.
• Ensure pet parent experiences are positive by responding to questions and recommending wellness solutions.
• Perform full menu of grooming services and promote salon sales to meet targets.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and humane conditions for all pets in the grooming area.
