Job summary

PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) is responsible for delivering professional grooming services and supporting a high performing team, while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy.

This role develops bathers and new stylists through the grooming development program, ensuring quality care for pets and a positive pet-parent experience at every contact point.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment, and products; safe operation.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates associate experience and supports development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather and/or stylist certification processes.
• Identifies candidates for academy training to become stylists.
• Delegates and validates completion of daily salon tasks.
• Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances.
• Maintains store standards and leads empowerment through policy compliance.
