PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) oversees exceptional pet care and a high-performing team while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. The role develops bathers and new stylists, guiding them through the grooming development program to ensure service quality.

It requires grooming expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to train, coach, and manage salon operations, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction across all grooming services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full-time availability; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment and products to perform grooming services safely.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather and/or stylist certification.
• Identifies internal candidates to attend academy training to become stylists.
• Delegates and validates completion of daily salon tasks.
• Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances.
• Recognizes and celebrates associates driving engagement.
• Delivers high-quality grooming services and supports a positive pet-parent experience.
• Promotes salon sales to meet targets and productivity metrics.
