Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking a Salon Director to lead and coach a team, overseeing staffing, client satisfaction and salon operations. You will supervise staff, schedule shifts, monitor performance and ensure a high-quality sun-care experience for clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and adherence to company standards, with a 40-hour week and varying shifts to match business trends.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and supervisory skills.
• Team building and delegation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Maintains a positive example during high volume periods.
• Directly motivates the salon team and implements company programs.
• Plan, identify and delegate responsibilities for smooth operations.
• Ensure cleanliness, maintenance and proper sanitation of the salon.
• Manage staffing levels and development of employees.
• Adhere to wage and hour laws for non-exempt staff.
• Use labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory tools.
