Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking a Salon Director to lead and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience across a full-service salon. You will supervise hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling staff while ensuring client satisfaction, safety, cleanliness and operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, sales and service skills to drive performance. The Salon Director will manage daily operations, adapt to business trends and handle shift scheduling, with a 5-day, 40-hour workweek and

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team building skills
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume and models Sun Tan City principles.
• Drives company metrics by developing action plans and motivates the salon team.
• Directly responsible for cleanliness, maintenance and organization of the salon.
• Manages staffing levels to ensure development and operational requirements.
• Ensures compliance with wage and hour laws for non-exempt staff and minors.
• Uses labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory management to plan operations.
