JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Salon Assistant Manager leads in running the salon and creating a fun, engaging experience for customers and a positive experience for team members. This role involves supervising staff, handling customer service, performing haircuts & styling, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage salon staff, scheduling, and daily operations.
• Performs professional kid's cuts, styling, and related services.
• Builds positive customer relationships, provides excellent customer service, and resolves customer's concerns.
• Support sales, product offerings, and marketing efforts to drive business growth.
• Oversees inventory management and product restocking.
• Trains and mentors team members to maintain high service standards.
• Prepares daily shifts, based on demand and scheduled appointments
• Handles cash management, sales reporting, and deposits.
• Ensures the salon maintains cleanliness and follows all safety regulations.
• Ensures opening and closing responsibilities are maintained
• Works at least 2 weekend shifts per month
• Works at least 2 evening shifts per week (until 8pm)
• Steps in for the General Manager when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Cosmetology License for Missouri
• Relevant salon management experience
• Experience working with kids and families
