Job Description

A day in the life of a Represented Adjuster involves investigating automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles that result in property damage and/or bodily injury. You will work remotely from home, assessing coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service through channels like voice calls, email, and text messages. Using innovative platforms and tools, you will negotiate fair injury settlements with all parties involved.

Sign-On Bonus

You may be eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus if you hold the applicable active licenses required for this role, such as Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, or an applicable Appraiser License. Candidates previously employed by Allstate and seeking rehire are not eligible for this bonus.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • The Customer Service Expert: Demonstrate empathy and clarity to support claimants effectively.
  • The Investigator: Independently investigate casualty claims and interpret policies.
  • The Effective Communicator: Use various communication channels to assist customers efficiently.
  • The Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements following legal and business standards.
  • The Problem Solver: Utilize tools and critical thinking to handle claims swiftly.
  • The Recorder: Ensure accurate documentation and policy adherence to protect the company financially.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior casualty claim handling experience, especially in MD, VA, DC
  • 2+ years of casualty and negotiation experience
  • Knowledge of litigation is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Licensing and Remote Work

Depending on your location, you may need to obtain an adjuster or appraiser license within 60 days of hire. This is a permanent remote role, requiring a dedicated workspace, minimum internet bandwidth, and provided technology. Residents of California, Alaska, and Hawaii are not eligible.

Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $47,440 to $81,902.50, based on experience and qualifications. Allstate conducts background checks for new hires.
