Title: Salesperson

Location: Harbor Springs

Reports to: Vice President - Sales

Purpose: To sell boats, both brokerage and new, and establish a strong customer base in Harbor Springs.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests
• Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, uses and credit terms
• Contact current and prospective customers to demonstrate and explain product features
• Be a product expert and monitor market conditions
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks and participating in professional groups
• Perform administrative duties to include keeping sales records, filing expense reports, and accurately completing required paperwork.
• Participate in Company Events to include setup and cleanup
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Requirements

• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling boats.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact positively with people
• Able to put people at ease and instill trust
• High energy, self-motivated, self-confident, and able to handle rejection
• Willingness to learn and be an active team member
• Follow direction with a positive attitude and handle pressure with a positive outlook
• Proficiency in word and excel applications, experience with Salesforce preferred
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally, and to get on/off boats of varying sizes
• Ability and willingness to work six days a week during the high season and sometimes Sundays for special events
