Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Technical Lead (Salesforce) to provide senior technical leadership for ConnectSource, Marketing Cloud, and related Salesforce solutions. You will translate business intent into durable Salesforce designs and drive SDLC discipline across delivery teams.

You will mentor engineers, review designs, mitigate risks, and partner with Solution Owners, Product, and Run teams to improve stability and scalability of CRM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on application development experience with enterprise platforms.
• Strong Salesforce technical experience (configuration + integration + SDLC delivery).
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and resolve production issues.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and enterprise CRM integrations preferred.
• Experience with build/run operational practices and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical execution quality for Salesforce solution areas, including implementation approach and delivery of technical/config components to agreed standards.
• Lead design and code/configuration reviews to ensure standards and best practices are met.
• Identify Salesforce platform risks early and propose options, tradeoffs, and mitigation plans in partnership with delivery leadership.
• Provide Salesforce architecture awareness to ensure components fit end‑to‑end.
• Define and reinforce Salesforce standards/patterns to promote consistency and reuse.
• Create supporting technical documentation to guide critical decisions and continuity.
• Ensure Salesforce work is planned and executed with SDLC rigor, including change control and operational readiness.
• Define tasks, milestones, and technical deliverables; determine methods (config vs code vs integration).
• Partner with run/support teams to improve Salesforce stability and drive debt remediation.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and partner with Product on component selection.
