Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn SGWS products, the industry, and consultative selling. You will support senior sales staff and the Area Sales Manager in servicing and selling to customers.

The role focuses on building relationships, preplanning visits, and developing growth plans for accounts while advancing data-driven sales opportunities. Willingness to travel and maintain a current driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• State Sales Permit required and ability to analyze and understand data.
• Able to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties.
• Able to build customer presentations and product proposals.
• Proficient in using mobile devices and online communication in a professional manner.
• Consistently achieve results and provide high level service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messages to the audience.
• Nimble in ambiguity and open to change; embraces innovation.
• Team player who works well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Train on SGWS products, industry knowledge, and consultative selling.
• Build positive relationships with customers based on trust.
• Preplan account visits with agenda, purpose, and opportunities.
• Identify customer growth needs and develop business plans for accounts.
• Analyze data to increase sales and drive incremental opportunities.
• Create and maintain a pipeline of selling opportunities.
• Visit accounts regularly and document notes in visit plans.
• Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and present them effectively.
• Propose selling solutions using consultative selling techniques.
• Support internal objectives and assist in issue resolution as needed.
• Learn accounts, monitor competitors, and adjust positioning accordingly.
• Document customer information in the Proof CRM system.
• Participate in sales meetings, trainings, and supplier events.
