Job summary

Belk in Raleigh, NC seeks a Sales Team Manager to drive store sales and profitability by leading a team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and meet key metrics.

You will develop associates in selling techniques, plan and execute store events, and maintain an attractive store environment that builds loyalty and satisfaction. This exempt role includes monthly bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Retail Leadership experience.
• Strong customer-service focus with proven results.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Comfortable with technology and store systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability to achieve store objectives and key metrics.
• Motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and drive sales.
• Plan and execute promotional and grassroot events to engage customers and drive clienteling.
• Collaborate with store operations on floor sets, pricing, replenishment, and asset protection.
• Coordinate weekly leadership meetings and schedule planning with HR to align with traffic plans.
• Provide ongoing training to ensure readiness in service and selling excellence.
• Set clear priorities, review performance, and conduct coaching conversations.
• Recognize contributions, celebrate achievements, and foster positive store culture.
• Fill open positions timely through recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Manage shortage control and inventory accuracy to protect assets.
