Job summary

Belk in Lakeland, FL seeks a Sales Team Manager to lead a team of sales associates, drive store sales and profitability, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining an inviting store environment.

You will develop associates in selling techniques, execute store events, and partner with store leaders to optimize performance, promote memorable shopping experiences, and build customer loyalty.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Retail Leadership experience.
• Strong coaching and communication skills.
• Ability to develop others through mentorship and side-by-side coaching.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in achieving store objectives and key metrics.
• Inspire and motivate team to deliver positive customer experiences and drive sales.
• Develop and implement strategies for promotional and grassroots events and clienteling.
• Collaborate with store operations on floor sets, pricing, replenishment, and protection standards.
• Lead weekly leadership planning and align staffing with traffic plans.
• Build team knowledge through continuous training and coaching conversations.
• Set clear priorities and review performance to improve results.
• Promote retention and engagement by recognizing contributions and celebrating achievements.
• Support recruitment, interviews, and onboarding to build bench strength.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and asset protection compliance.
