Sales Support Representative - Work from Home

Pay $15.65 - $21.00 / hour

Job Description

Scholastic Book Fairs partners with schools nationwide to host over 100,000 book-sale events annually, providing access to educational products for more than 35 million students and families, fostering a love for reading.

We are seeking Sales Support Reps to expand our Book Fair business. These full-time roles offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 50% discount on Scholastic merchandise, a 401k, and summer off.

This remote, work-from-home position involves collaborating with Fair Consultants on specific tasks to support territory objectives. Responsibilities include customer communication, Salesforce documentation, and other tasks assigned by the Territory Manager to achieve business goals.

Successful candidates will develop skills for future roles as Fair Consultants.

Please note: This role is open outside Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The following info applies to hires in those states.

The estimated pay range is:

$32,500 - $45,000

Job Responsibilities

• Market and Event Support: Schedule and confirm appointments, support order management, coordinate with branch and transportation teams, promote programs, and utilize technology for sales and service activities.
• Customer Focus: Build relationships with schools and parent organizations, deliver exceptional service, and address concerns promptly.
• Teamwork: Communicate regularly with team members, share calendar and notes in Salesforce, and collaborate to meet operational guidelines.
• Functional Expertise/Personal Effectiveness: Support our mission, adapt to changing priorities, attend events, maintain confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
• 2+ years sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and schools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, multitasking ability, and flexibility for evening hours as needed.
