Job Description

Scholastic Book Fairs, in partnership with schools across the country, hosts over 100,000 book-sale events annually, providing access to educational products for more than 35 million students and families, fostering a love of reading.

We are seeking Sales Support Reps to expand our Book Fair business. These full-time roles include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 50% discount on Scholastic merchandise, a 401k, and summer and holiday breaks.

This is a remote, work-from-home position. Qualified candidates will support territory objectives by collaborating with Fair Consultants on tasks like customer communication, Salesforce documentation, and other duties assigned by the Territory Manager.

Successful Sales Support Reps will gain experience and skills for future roles as Fair Consultants.

Note: This role is open to candidates outside Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The pay range for candidates in those states is provided separately.

The estimated annual pay range is $32,500 - $45,000.

Job Responsibilities

• Market and Event Support: Schedule, reconfirm, set appointments, conduct during-fair calls, post-event calls, collection calls, and other event-related tasks.
• Manage orders, including follow-ups, restocks, and additions.
• Coordinate with branch and transportation teams to address operational needs and manage customer expectations.
• Support promotion, marketing initiatives, and guide customers to successful events using our products and services.
• Use technology efficiently to support sales and service, maintain accurate records in CRM, prioritize tasks, and cover territories as needed.

• Customer Focus: Build relationships with school personnel, district contacts, and parent organizations; deliver exceptional service; listen carefully to customer needs; address concerns promptly.

• Teamwork: Communicate regularly with the team; share calendar and notes in Salesforce; collaborate to meet operational guidelines.

• Functional Expertise/Personal Effectiveness: Support our mission to promote reading; adapt to changing priorities; attend events as required; maintain confidentiality; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
• 2+ years sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with children’s literature and school activities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills; ability to stay calm under pressure; multi-tasking ability; flexibility for evening hours as needed.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
