Job summary

Ideal Millwork & Hardware, a residential millwork and hardware distributor serving contractors and builders across the Nashville metro area, is growing and seeking an experienced, service-minded team member to support our sales team from order to delivery.

You will be the main link between customers, sales, warehouse and drivers, handling order entry, credits and returns, and providing proactive communication about delivery timing and any delays or issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in customer service, sales support, order entry, inside sales, or a related role.
• Experience with an ERP or order entry system is required.
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software.
• Excellent communication skills and a service-first attitude, with sales instincts to build relationships.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage many orders and deliveries at once.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs.
• Experience in millwork, hardware, building materials, or construction supply is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers after the sale, covering order status, delivery dates, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with delivery drivers and warehouse staff to confirm delivery schedules and communicate them to customers.
• Proactively let customers know about delays, backorders, or order issues, and work to resolve them.
• Process credits, returns, and order adjustments.
• Support the sales team with order entry, customer requests, and account follow-up.
• Handle some purchase order entry and vendor follow-up as needed.
• Maintain accurate order and customer records in our ERP system.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including lifting materials.
