Job summary

Lowe's in the United States is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers, promote products, and help transform project ideas into reality. You will become the product expert, discuss specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales, and may work in various departments based on hiring needs and skills.

As part of Lowe's, you’ll engage customers throughout the store, answer questions, and help them achieve home improvement goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met)
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will support and fund)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to source merchandise
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
• Support checkout functions and respond to requests for assistance
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development
• Complete other duties as assigned
