Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Sales and Service Banker to act as a trusted advisor, helping customers meet financial needs with tailored banking, lending, and investment solutions while delivering outstanding service.

You will handle teller transactions, promote digital tools, support branch goals, and ensure accuracy and compliance while delivering a personalized customer experience across in-person, phone, and digital channels.

Qualifications

• 12+ Months Experience selling products and/or services.
• 6+ Months Experience in Retail Banking sales or related role with proven success.
• 6+ Months Demonstrated Santander experience related to the essential functions and responsibilities.
• 6+ Months Customer service experience in a high volume environment.
• 6+ Months Cash handling experience.
• Excellent communication, consultative and influencing skills.
• Ability to learn and apply sales techniques to meet customer needs.
• Experience in cross-selling products and services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficient in using digital tools and technology.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain risk controls.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet the financial needs of customers through transactions, servicing, and product recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to grow banking relationships via branch activities and referrals.
• Develop and maintain relationships to understand clients' financial needs.
• Collaborate with team and partners to achieve branch goals.
• Deliver personalized, seamless customer service and build loyalty.
• Address concerns and provide timely resolutions.
• Engage customers with digital platforms and educate on self-service options.
• Communicate clearly with customers in person, by phone, or digitally.
• Perform teller duties with accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle cash and balance cash drawers accurately.
• Support custodianship, audits, and operational tasks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Time allocation may vary by branch needs.
• Responsibilities may extend to nearby branches.
