Job summary

Armstrong Utilities Inc. in Butler, PA is seeking a Sales & Retention Trainer to develop and deliver progressive training for sales and customer retention teams.

You will create curricula, deliver engaging sessions on-site, webinars, and classroom settings, and coach staff to improve performance and customer service. The role requires 3–5 years of training experience, strong presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and e-learning tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience developing and implementing training programs for sales and customer retention
• Strong selling and presentation skills with enthusiasm for training and development
• Track record designing and executing effective training programs
• Coaching, mentoring and motivational skills scalable from front line to leadership
• Experience in a Call Center environment
• Experience conducting live and online trainings (webinars)
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job, e-learning)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
• Knowledge of course authoring tools (Articulate Presenter/Storyline, Lectora, Captivate)
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and blended learning approaches
• Ability to turn materials into interactive e-learning content
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, visual and virtual communication skills
• Clear and precise communication across direct and indirect channels
• Exceptional presentation and listening skills

Responsibilities

• Create and conduct ongoing training and development programs aligned with business objectives
• Develop curricula and materials to drive peak performance in sales and customer retention
• Introduce strategies to improve agent performance and customer interactions
• Select and apply diverse training delivery methods (self-study, online, classroom, blended)
• Facilitate train-the-trainer and induction sessions for new hires
• Observe calls and interactions to reinforce progress and development
• Create graphics and visuals to represent complex content
