Job summary

The Dolomite Group, a CRH Company, is seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth and nurture customer relationships for Dolomite's aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete products in the Greater Rochester market.

This role emphasizes business development, account management, market analysis, and collaboration with operations and billing teams to deliver outstanding service and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, construction management, or related field.
• Sales experience in construction materials preferred.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel within the territory and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Dolomite products to commercial, municipal, residential, and heavy highway customers.
• Manage both established and new accounts throughout the sales cycle.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow existing business and identify new opportunities.
• Prospect for and secure new customers, projects, and market opportunities.
• Prepare accurate pricing and quotations while coordinating with operations and production teams.
• Follow up on quotes, inquiries, and account-related matters, including collections support as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, hauling subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Monitor market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activities; share insights with leadership.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, sales activity, quotations, and market intelligence in Salesforce.
• Conduct regular visits to customer locations, job sites, and Dolomite facilities.
• Represent Dolomite at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, quality control, billing, accounts receivable, and other functions.
• Deliver high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Sales experience in construction materials, building products, industrial products, or a related industry is preferred.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Travel within the assigned market area is required
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for customer meetings, industry events, or business needs
• Work may be performed in office settings, customer offices, manufacturing facilities, and active construction sites
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
