Job summary

Drivo Rent A Car seeks an energetic associate at our New York locations to manage the full rental journey, from counter to vehicle inspection. You will upsell features and extras while delivering top-notch customer service and meeting sales standards.

You will handle vehicle check-out and return inspections, document pre-existing conditions with photos, and assist with branch operations and daily administrative tasks. Bilingual skills are a plus, with uniforms required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or sales experience.
• Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to follow defined service and sales processes.
• Willing to wear company uniforms.
• English communication; Spanish a plus.

What you will do:

Rental and sales

• Prepare the rental agreement while advising on and up-selling vehicles and optional extras according to the customer's needs and wants
• Provide excellent customer service in all customer contact situations
• Meet all sales and service standards
• Assist customers with inquiries about car features and conditions
• Inform customers of return policies (e.g., No Smoking, No Pet Hair, Gas)

Vehicle check-out

• Ensure high-quality video check-out processes
• Record pre-existing conditions by capturing additional photos

Vehicle return and inspection

• Greet customers dropping off rental cars with a warm smile
• Secure vehicle keys, confirm documentation and perform necessary checks
• Perform video inspections for damage and remind customers to check for personal belongings
• Identify and record lost items found in vehicles with detailed information
• Thoroughly review cars for damage upon return, and open and file claims promptly
• Park units requiring service in designated areas and inform the Service Supervisor

Branch support

• Control traffic flow as a guide for incoming and outgoing rental cars
• Assist the branch with the return and turnaround of vehicles
• Complete administrative tasks, including daily lists to assist the office
• Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs

About you:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or sales experience
• Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience meeting sales quotas or working in highly commissioned positions preferred
• Ability to follow defined service and sales processes
• Must be willing to wear company uniforms
• Ability to communicate in English; speaking other languages, including Spanish, is a plus

Position available at BRK and BRKJS city locations

Salary: From $18.00 per hour - $20.00 per hour + Comissions

Expected hours: 20+ per week
