Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Field Sales Representative in Wisconsin to identify and win new accounts, sell wine and spirits to on- and off-premise venues, and build strong customer relationships. You will create efficient routes, deliver education on priority brands, and drive distribution while ensuring compliance and accurate inventory management.

The role requires 2+ years in sales, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales
  • Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to carry and lift 45–65 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and win new accounts across outstate Wisconsin
  • Sell the full portfolio of wine and spirits across on- and off-premise accounts
  • Build lasting customer relationships and grow the assigned territory
  • Create efficient daily account routes and visit accounts to identify opportunities
  • Complete surveys and ensure national account compliance where applicable
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations covering new products, placements, resets, lists and promotions
  • Take inventory and restock shelves where legally permissible
  • Conduct educational staff training seminars on priority brands
  • Process credits and returns and communicate regarding aged receivables
  • Deliver products in extenuating circumstances and handle or escalated customer issues
  • Achieve distribution, volume and activity goals for supplier brands
  • Monitor inventory and out-of-stock situations and alert management to demand fluctuations
  • Maintain brand visibility and account standards using point-of-sale materials
  • Collect and deliver payments where legally permissible
  • Develop opening orders for new accounts with the Field Sales Manager
  • Participate in supplier work-with sales calls and sales blitzes
  • Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while handling beverage alcohol
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
