Job summary

DWS Printing & Packaging, a Deer Park, NY-based printer specializing in prime labels and shrink sleeves for food, beverage, craft beer, and pet products, seeks a Sales Representative to grow new business and nurture existing relationships.

You will identify opportunities, understand packaging needs, and coordinate with internal teams to move projects from quote to production and follow up with customers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of label, printing, and/or packaging experience.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability and desire to travel to customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot or willingness to learn and use platform consistently.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business through networking, meetings, emails, referrals, trade shows and cold calling.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and follow up on opportunities.
• Manage and grow an assigned book of existing accounts.
• Serve as the primary sales contact for customers and maintain relationships.
• Identify opportunities for incremental new business and additional SKUs or programs.
• Gather specifications for new label projects and coordinate with internal teams.
• Present pricing, samples, capabilities, and recommendations to customers.
• Travel to customer locations and industry events as needed.

Established in 1865 and currently in its 161st year of continuous operation, DWS Printing & Packaging is a 5-generation, family-owned and operated printing company located in Deer Park, New York specializing in prime labels and shrink sleeves for the food, beverage, craft beer, and pet products industries.

Position Summary:

DWS Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing existing customer relationships. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, understanding packaging and label requirements, developing customer relationships, and working internally to move projects from initial quote through production to follow up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect and generate new business through networking, in-person meetings, email outreach, referrals, trade shows, industry events, and cold calling.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and actively follow up on sales opportunities.
• Manage and grow an assigned book of existing accounts.
• Serve as the primary sales contact for customers, maintaining strong ongoing relationships.
• Identify opportunities for incremental new business from existing clients, seek out additional SKUs, product lines, or programs.
• Gather specifications for new label projects, including materials, adhesives, finishes, embellishments, quantities, application requirements, and other production needs.
• Coordinate with estimating, customer service, prepress, production, and management
• Present pricing, samples, capabilities, and recommendations to prospective and existing customers.
• Coordinate press checks.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns involving quality, delivery, pricing, or production.
• Maintain accurate customer, prospect, opportunity, and sales activity information in HubSpot.
• Provide sales forecasts and updates on active opportunities.
• Travel to customer locations, trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings as needed and within territory.

• Stay knowledgeable about DWS’s printing capabilities, materials, embellishments, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain awareness of competitive offerings and developments within the label and packaging industry.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of label, printing, and/or packaging experience.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability and desire to travel to customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot or willingness to learn and use platform consistently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook.
