Job summary

Ryerson in the United States is seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to deliver excellent internal and external customer experiences. You will support speed-to-quote initiatives, technology integration, and transactional growth, while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors across the US.

Responsibilities include building relationships, managing orders in AS400/SAP, and ensuring accurate order tracking and lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of prior sales or industry experience.
• Customer-centric mentality.
• Excellent professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
• Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and driven by excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Quickly building strong relationships with internal Ryerson employees and external vendors throughout the US.
• Creating and modifying orders within AS400/SAP.
• Possess the skillset to wear many hats and pay great attention to detail.
• Keeps internal employees informed about order tracking and lead times throughout the entire sales process.
• Uses critical thinking to solve problems to efficiently provide a delivered product to the customer within an allotted amount of time.
• Keeps detailed records of tracking material.
