Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to enhance speed-to-quote, technology, and transactional growth. You will build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors across the US, while handling orders in AS400/SAP with precision.

The role requires a customer-centric mindset, 1–3 years in sales, and excellent communication skills to keep customers informed and satisfied throughout the order lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma or GED acceptable.
• 1–3 years of prior sales or industry experience.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with internal Ryerson teams and external vendors across the US.
• Create and modify orders within AS400/SAP with accuracy.
• Maintain order tracking and lead times throughout the sales process.
• Provide fast, reliable problem solving to deliver products on time.
• Keep detailed records of tracking materials and activities.
