Job Summary

A growing organization in Ventura County is seeking an experienced Sales Manager - Packaging Industry for a full-time, direct hire leadership opportunity. This role is ideal for a proven sales leader who has direct packaging industry experience and a strong track record of developing successful B2B sales teams. This is a true sales management position focused on coaching, motivating, and leading an existing sales team. The Sales Manager will not carry an individual sales quota. Instead, this role will drive revenue growth by building team accountability, strengthening customer relationships, improving sales strategy, and supporting long-term profitability. Key Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Lead and manage an existing sales team focused on new business growth, customer retention, and account development.
• Develop sales goals, performance expectations, coaching plans, and team accountability processes.
• Manage sales forecasting, pricing, margin performance, and profitability improvement initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve customer satisfaction, sales execution, and operational alignment.
• Direct packaging industry experience is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience, including direct leadership of a sales team.
• Proven success leading sales teams and driving revenue growth in a B2B or corporate sales environment.
• Strong understanding of sales forecasting, pricing strategies, gross margins, and profitability.
• Experience building sales strategies for new business development and existing customer account growth.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams, create accountability, and drive measurable business results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 10 or more years of progressive sales experience.
• B2B or corporate sales experience within the packaging industry.
• NetSuite experience.
• Experience leading sales teams through growth, process improvement, and market expansion.
