Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Spring, TX is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team, drive sales, and deliver an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end operations, ensure consistent selling behaviors, and maintain brand standards across daily activities.

You will coach associates, manage SOP compliance, and collaborate with store leadership to meet KPIs. This role requires 3+ years of retail leadership and the ability to work nights, weekends, and early shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (e.g., balloons, party operations) and loyalty program enrollment.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in knit & sew shop and BOPIS/same-day delivery.
• Train and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
