Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Conroe, TX is seeking a Sales Manager who will lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving sales and delivering an engaging customer experience. This role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards, and operational expectations.

You will coach team members, support Store Manager, and ensure omni-channel service, POS accuracy, and program adoption across loyalty and protection plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors, driving conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting transactions and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (e.g., Balloons, loyalty enrollment).
• Drive sales and operational excellence in various departments including Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing, and delivery services.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and on-going skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
