ScottsMiracle-Gro in the United States is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Field Sales team. You will manage an assigned territory, build strategic relationships with major home center partners, and increase the in-store presence of Scotts brands while executing sales and marketing plans.

You will lead a Merchandiser team, oversee budgets, provide training and product knowledge, and drive recruitment decisions.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Preferred experience supervising/managing other employees and a budget.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.

Aufgaben

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating work assignments along with providing ongoing feedback.
• Utilize strategic selling tactics by analyzing and preparing key metrics to educate our home center retail partners on business opportunities.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other creative marketing tools and events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interviewing, and make hiring decisions to build out your Merchandiser team while effectively managing your budget.
• Provide job training and communicate product knowledge across the portfolio of Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising of Scott's product lines, including the use of point-of-purchase materials, as appropriate, to meet account needs.
