About the Role:

As Sales Manager, you will partner with our exceptional Operations TEAM to achieve and exceed sales goals for our property.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the city market, a proven track record of growing revenue, profit, and market share, and a dynamic, analytical background.

Responsibilities:

Represent the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers, delivering outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

You will generate room revenue through strategic planning and performance to achieve/exceed individual revenue goals within assigned market segments.

Requirements:
  • Proven 5+ years of Sales Manager experience in a brand or luxury hotel is ideal
  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution desired
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly energetic and enthusiastic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer literacy and good typing skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to present ideas and information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to follow marketing plans and action items promptly
  • Timely and quality delivery of client correspondence
  • Ability to produce a weekly sales call schedule to follow up on tentative business, maintain existing accounts, and develop new business, as directed by management
  • Complete departmental reports and systems promptly
  • Negotiate contracts in the best interest of the property while maintaining customer goodwill
  • Understand operational capabilities of the property
  • Follow a sales plan effectively
  • Maintain high visibility in the local hotel community and professional organizations
  • Build customer loyalty and develop new business through prospecting and referrals
  • Work effectively as part of a team and manage conflicts professionally
  • Adhere to all company Sales/Catering SOP standards
