Mercedes-Benz of Marin in San Rafael, CA, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a luxury sales floor. You will coach consultants, run structured desking sessions, and drive consistent production for new and certified pre-owned vehicles.

You will structure deals with precision, manage floor coverage, and partner with finance to ensure smooth guest experiences through the full purchase journey. A franchised dealership background and luxury brand knowledge are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of desk/ Sales Manager experience at a franchised dealership.
• Luxury brand or Mercedes-Benz sales management experience preferred.
• Strong hospitality quotient and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sales team daily with coaching and desking sessions.
• Structure deals quickly while maintaining the guest relationship.
• Manage floor coverage and guest experience from first contact to delivery.
• Monitor KPIs: units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, CRM compliance.
• Partner with finance for seamless handoffs; assist in recruiting new consultants.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and develop the sales team daily -- coaching consultants, running structured desking sessions, and driving consistent production across new and certified pre-owned
• Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the store
• Manage floor coverage and the guest experience from first contact through delivery
• Monitor and hold the team accountable to key performance metrics -- units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, and CRM compliance
• Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience through the full purchase process
• Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM -- monitoring turn, aging, and lot positioning
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants
• Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and a solution‑first approach

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required
• Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand sales management experience strongly preferred -- the MBZ buyer profile, product knowledge, and brand standards are meaningful advantages in this market
• Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self‑awareness, and integrity
• Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact
• Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow‑up and process accountability on the floor
• Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
• Professional, polished communicator who earns the trust of the team and the respect of the Marin County guest
