Mercedes-Benz of Marin, part of the Swickard Auto Group, seeks an organized Inventory Manager to keep a luxury lot running with precise control over vehicle location, status, and documents. You will coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth title flow in California.

This role requires strong DMS skills (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK), CA DMV knowledge, and the ability to work across sales, service, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience required or transferable.
• Strong DMS proficiency; Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred.
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non-negotiable.
• Reliable, self-directed and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy.
• Clear communicator across sales, service, and external vendors.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot with accurate tracking in the DMS.
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries from transport and OEM allocations.
• Manage title and registration documentation ensuring California DMV compliance.
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning for pricing and acquisition decisions.
• Coordinate with the service department on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow.
• Support trade-in processing and pre-owned vehicle intake with accurate records.
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage all new and pre‑owned inventory on the lot -- vehicle location, status, and availability tracked accurately in the DMS at all times
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory from transport and OEM allocation
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with California DMV requirements
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning -- surfacing relevant information to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
• Coordinate with the service department on pre‑delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
• Support trade‑in processing and pre‑owned vehicle intake -- ensuring accurate records from point of acquisition
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred -- candidates with transferable organizational and administrative backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Strong DMS proficiency preferred -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience a plus
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented -- inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non‑negotiable
• Reliable, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy
• Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
