Job summary

Swickard Auto Group's Mercedes-Benz of Marin in San Rafael, CA is hiring an Inventory Manager to oversee lot operations, title workflows, and inventory flow in a luxury dealership environment.

You will ensure accurate vehicle location, status, and documentation in the DMS, coordinate deliveries, and collaborate with sales and service while maintaining high standards of precision.

Qualifications

• Experience with dealership inventory, lot operations, or titles.
• Strong DMS proficiency (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK a plus).
• Highly organized with attention to detail; luxury-store standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all inventory on the lot with accurate location, status, and availability in the DMS.
• Coordinate incoming deliveries and processing of new inventory.
• Manage title and registration documentation for inventory.
• Monitor aging, turn rates, and lot positioning to inform pricing and acquisition.
• Coordinate with service on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning.
• Support trade-ins and pre-owned intake; assist with auction activity as directed.

What You'll Do

• Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot -- vehicle location, status, and availability tracked accurately in the DMS at all times
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory from transport and OEM allocation
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with California DMV requirements
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning -- surfacing relevant information to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
• Coordinate with the service department on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
• Support trade-in processing and pre-owned vehicle intake -- ensuring accurate records from point of acquisition
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed

What We're Looking For

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred -- candidates with transferable organizational and administrative backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Strong DMS proficiency preferred -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience a plus
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage
• Highly organized and detail-oriented -- inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non-negotiable
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy
• Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
