Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Marin in San Rafael, part of Swickard Auto Group, seeks an Inventory Manager to maintain flawless inventory records and title documentation. You will oversee vehicle flow, coordinate deliveries, and ensure California DMV compliance while supporting sales and service teams.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with dealership inventory, and proficiency in DMS systems like Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK. Excellent communication and reliability are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot; track location, status, and availability in the DMS.
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries from transport and OEM allocations.
• Manage title and registration documentation for inventory; ensure California DMV compliance.
• Monitor aging, turn rates, and lot positioning; assist pricing and acquisitions decisions.
• Coordinate with service for pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow.
• Assist with trade-ins and auction activity as directed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage all new and pre‑owned inventory on the lot -- vehicle location, status, and availability tracked accurately in the DMS at all times
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory from transport and OEM allocation
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with California DMV requirements
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning -- surfacing relevant information to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
• Coordinate with the service department on pre‑delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
• Support trade‑in processing and pre‑owned vehicle intake -- ensuring accurate records from point of acquisition
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred -- candidates with transferable organizational and administrative backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Strong DMS proficiency preferred -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience a plus
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented -- inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non‑negotiable
• Reliable, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy
• Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
