Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to ensure a clean, organized store and a customer-first experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

You will lead by example, perform cashier duties, help create eye-catching displays, and uphold safety and store policies. This role is essential in driving store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Able to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
