Job summary

Belk, Inc. is seeking a Selling Lead to drive personal, department, and storewide results by building genuine team and customer relationships, connecting customers with product, and creating memorable experiences.

This hourly role supports events, merchandising, and service excellence while working with store operations to meet objectives. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and coach teammates on selling behaviors and product knowledge to ensure a seamless omnichannel experience

Qualifications

1+ years of retail experience.
Strong customer service orientation.
Comfortable with technology (smartphones, tablets, Windows).
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Own store objectives and key metrics through ownership and initiative.
Build memorable store experiences by engaging customers and community relationships.
Greet and assist customers to enhance their shopping experience.
Process transactions accurately and resolve inquiries professionally.
Lead onboarding and coaching to improve selling behaviors and metrics.
Support omnichannel selling with inventory and product knowledge.
Maintain policy knowledge and communicate promotions and events.
Foster positive store culture and recognize associate achievements.
Maintain visually appealing selling areas and signage.
Lead store fulfillment and asset protection in designated areas.
