This position emphasizes coaching, task delegation, daily performance tracking, and ensuring department coverage. Responsibilities include customer greetings, needs clarification, and solution identification, along with non-customer tasks such as stocking and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate, and follow up on daily tasks; manage performance and department coverage.
• Handle customer-facing activities (greeting, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing tasks (stocking, inventory, area recovery).
• Ensure store safety through walks, hazard reporting, and lifting directions; communicate best practices to the team.
