Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to assist in daily store operations and enhance sales performance. This role supervises during shifts as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager and supports Sales Floor Associates as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED with at least 6 months of supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry, strong English communication, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register to make total sales, accept payment, authorize voids, returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in all aspects of professional performance.
• Stock the sales floor adequately and maintain a clean, attractive store environment with presentable staff.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the shopping areas.
• Keep the store clean and hazard free by vacuuming, mopping and dusting, including bathrooms.
• Observe personnel and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance by Store Floor Associates.
• Be able to perform the job duties of Sales Floor Associates.
• Attend work on regularly scheduled shifts; complete floor checks daily and monthly safety self-inspections.
• Ensure all new hires are properly oriented within the first week and document training.
