Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA is looking for a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team and deliver outstanding customer service in a bustling retail environment.

You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, ensure safety, and support merchandising decisions while maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels. This role may open/close the store or act as MOD, with occasional travel for trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and input into merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience, including coaching and training, delegation, and performance management.
• Supervise, when needed, other departments to meet store demands; communicate upward about concerns and morale.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty; travel for meetings or training as needed.
