Job summary

Microwave Techniques is hiring an experienced Sales Engineer for our Components Division in Gorham, Maine. The role is preferred on-site, with hybrid or remote arrangements possible for the right candidate.

You will identify new opportunities, manage key accounts, and provide technical guidance across RF and microwave solutions. You will travel domestically and internationally to customer sites, deliver technical presentations, support quoting, and collaborate with engineering and product teams

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering or a technical sales role with engineering background.
• Ability to learn complex technical products and adapt to customer needs.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-project management.
• Track record in forecasting, prospecting, and account management.
• Willingness to travel 25–40% domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and keeping records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities through target markets.
• Monitor market and competitor data to identify trends and gaps.
• Support existing accounts by understanding applications and suggesting solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide customer-driven feedback.
• Travel to customer facilities to strengthen relationships and provide guidance.
• Develop and deliver presentations for project success.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events.
• Engage in technical discussions to uncover needs and opportunities.
• Assist with quoting, CRM records, and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with project management on progress and budgets.
