Job summary
TailWind Voice & Data is seeking a Sales Engineer to bridge technical expertise and sales strategy, scoping solutions for structured cabling and ICT projects. You will build client relationships and help close deals while aligning proposals with TailWind’s services.
The role requires travel and familiarity with IT infrastructure, with certifications like BICSI being a plus. Team collaboration and process improvement are key parts of the job.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years as a Pre‑Sales Engineer.
- At least 1 year estimating and drafting proposals for large ICT deployments.
- Experience as onsite project manager or field technician on structured cabling projects.
- Broad knowledge across IT infrastructure.
- BICSI certification is a plus, not required.
- Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Review quotes and collaborate to compile scopes, quotes, and change orders.
- Advise with sales to tailor solutions that meet client objectives.
- Prepare quotes, statements of work, and technical docs aligned with client expectations.
- Develop and lead presentations on technical concepts relevant to client environments.
- Maintain quote databases and update TailWind systems with project details.
- Assist with RFQ/RFP/RFI responses and internal training.
