Job summary

TailWind Voice & Data is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team. The role blends technical expertise with sales strategy, covering discovery, solution matching, and client satisfaction across national ICT deployments.

Essential qualifications include 3+ years as a Pre-Sales Engineer, 1+ year drafting proposals for large-scale projects, and a BICSI RCDD or TECH certification. Travel will be required to serve multiple states and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pre Sales Engineer.
• Minimum 1 year of experience estimating and drafting proposals for large scale national ICT deployments, and large structured cabling projects.
• Experience as an onsite project manager or field technician on structured cabling projects.
• BICSI RCDD or BICSI TECH certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate a value proposition to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and PDF editing tools, Visio, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Review quote requests and craft complete scopes, quotes, and change orders.
• Advise with sales to tailor solutions to client objectives.
• Prepare proposals, statements of work, and technical documents aligned with client expectations.
• Lead presentations on technical concepts relevant to client environments.
• Maintain accurate quotes and update quote databases.
• Assist with RFQ/RFP/RFI responses.
• Develop and conduct internal training to enhance technical knowledge.
• Provide technical and industry expertise to Sales, Engineering, Operations.
• Document processes, procedures, and installation guides.
• Travel as needed.
