The Delfield Company in Mt. Pleasant, MI is seeking a Sales Engineer I to manage direct contact with dealers, reps and customers. You will translate needs into configurable, custom solutions and oversee projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry, preparing quotations and drawings, and supporting multiple internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Onsite, full-time position with healthcare, 401(k), and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of product line applications and limitations.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and anticipate customer needs and translate to configurable products.
• Process orders accurately within metrics.
• Originate or revise quotations/drawings to meet project needs.
• Support Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Service, Parts and Credit teams.
• Check others’ work for accuracy against templates.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to grow the business.
