Work Location: This is a hybrid-remote position; candidates should be based within one hour of the Indianapolis market. The role requires weekly presence in the Carmel office for sales meetings and occasional travel within Indiana for customer meetings.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Serve as the primary technical resource for sales teams across the organization.
  2. Manage the technology evaluation stage during pre-sales, acting as a technical advisor and product advocate.
  3. Design solutions, prepare pricing, conduct presentations, and demonstrate products.
  4. Analyze, design, and price complex network services tailored to customer objectives.
  5. Provide product and process training to sales teams.
  6. Prepare fiber optics cost estimates in collaboration with engineering and field teams.
  7. Assist sales with technical aspects of RFI’s and RFPs.
  8. Create detailed Statements of Work (SOW) for customer contracts.
  9. Advise and recommend to sales or project teams.
  10. Stay updated on industry applications and competitive products.
  11. Document requests and updates in internal systems.
  12. Maintain current knowledge of fiber optics and telecommunications technology.
  13. Travel within the sales territory as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years experience selling telecom products such as VoIP, SIP, PRI, Internet, Managed Wi-Fi, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, SD WAN, Hosted PBX.
  2. Minimum 3 years of sales engineering experience.
  3. Minimum 3 years of sales consulting experience.
  4. Experience in designing and selling fiber optic solutions.
  5. Training experience in various formats (classroom, virtual).
  6. Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications/IT.
  7. Proficiency in Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Wi-Fi design software.
  8. Industry certifications such as MEF/CECP, CCDA/CCNA are preferred.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across the state.
