Job summary

NerdWallet, Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Sales Trainer to develop the sales team, onboard new Account Executives, and coach ongoing performance.

This hands-on, collaborative role embeds with the sales floor to translate coaching into measurable business impact and elevate consultative selling. You’ll lead onboarding, deliver live coaching, role plays, and deal strategy sessions; build enablement materials; and partner with Sales Leadership, Product, and Operations to keep programs aligned

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sales training or enablement within a quota-driven organization.
• Proven onboarding experience for new sales reps and faster productivity.
• Experience coaching via live observation, reviews, role plays, and feedback.
• Able to apply Challenger/consultative/s transactional methodologies.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to deliver actionable coaching and build trust across the team.
• Experience with Gong, Salesforce, and LMS tools.
• Data-driven with ability to link coaching to sales outcomes.
• Willingness to travel ~twice per quarter for in-person onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding programs to prepare Account Executives and teach our sales process.
• Deliver ongoing coaching through live call observation, reviews, role plays, and strategy sessions.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback on the sales floor to raise performance.
• Reinforce Challenger-based and consultative selling throughout the customer journey.
• Coach on discovery, objection handling, urgency creation, and closing execution.
• Become a subject matter expert on small business financing and lender programs.
• Partner with Sales Leadership, BDR, Product, and Operations to align programs with priorities.
• Analyze coaching data to identify skill gaps and develop targeted plans.
• Create enablement materials: playbooks, talk tracks, scenarios, job aids.
• Support frontline managers in maintaining coaching consistency.
